a Gathering of Friends

…from the past. A good friend of mine was escorting a delegation from Japan back to the DC area. This was an opportunity to meet up with him as we hadn’t seen him since 2006. So along with the social occasion with the delegation, what you see at right are a ripe young bunch of Naval Academy graduates. From left to right; myself, Tony, and Steve are all from the class of 1985; Tim (now on active duty in Japan) is an 84 grad; and Steve’s father, who I believe is from the class of 1954 and a former Chief of Naval Operations. Stephanie worked for him briefly when he first took the job. It is great that after some 20 odd years we can run into old friends, many of them rotating in and out of the Washington DC (and Annapolis) area.
