Dear Captain Stephanie and family,
My name is Evelyn, Arlyn’s sister (from Israel). My sister just wanted me to e-mail you and say hello. Her e-mail address, arlyndperez is now reactivated. It gets deactivated often because she does not have time to access this e-mail account. Arlyn is going to visit her family in the Philippines on August 15th. It’s her birthday present for herself, to see her kids. I visited her kids last month and Rachel remembers Samantha very well. If Samantha has time, could she please send Rachel an e-mail? She does not have an e-mail address right now, but you can send it to me at hunybunchy and I can print it and send it to her or read it to her over the phone. Rachel is 10 now and is doing well in school. She has really grown. Arlyn’s youngest daughter, Abby, is due for a hernia operation this week.
My petition for my mother was finally approved so she was able to visit here with me for two weeks. I took her up to New York, Washington DC and Pennsylvania. Tears ran down her cheeks when she saw the Statue of Liberty and the White House. She wished she could stay longer but she needs to return to Israel to finish off her work commitment over there and she will come back here beginning of next year.
As far as my petition papers for my sister Arlyn, I finally got her petition approved. However, she needs to wait until a visa number is available to her which could take up to 13 years.
My husband and I are on home leave in Pennsylvania right now. We got another assignment in Croughton, England. We will be there from September ’06-September ’09.
If you choose to write to my sister, please send her an e-mail directly to arlyndperez or please call her directly in the Philippines. I’m sure she will be very happy to hear from you.
I stay in touch with my sister often and if there is any message you need to send to her, please feel free to send me an e-mail at hunybunchy and I would be very happy to call her and pass on your message. Her mailing address in the Philippines:
Arlyn D. Perez
Philippines
Thank you and our best wishes to you and your family!
