***UPDATE Photo’s now available at sagaphotos.com. Just select “View your photos”. (click “sound off” to turn off the music) Samantha’s photos are under “Jan 29 Sec 5 Beam Excalibur” and “Jan 29 Sec 5 Floor Excalibur”. When prompted for the code, please enter “jan27”. Samantha is the last gymnast on Beam and about in the middle for Floor. UPDATE ***
The Leung Family traveled to Chantilly in Northern Virginia this weekend as Samantha was participating in her first Sectional Meet. Her squad did not compete until Sunday morning, so she had to practice Friday night, and Saturday morning. We then drove up that afternoon and stayed at a local hotel. There were almost a hundred girls competing in her session. Samantha had a small problem with the floor exercise (8.25) which cost her 1.2 points, but she recovered well and scored 9.0 vault, 9.0 on the beam, and finally fixed her bar routine (9.2). Her All around score was 35.5. Official results are here.
Gymnastics tournaments are usually about four hours long, but the total participation time of each gymnast is only about five minutes. So of course, these tournaments can be quite boring for some spectators…especially the younger ones. So what are parents to do? Well, thank goodness for technology!!!

We are so proud of Samantha. She looked great on the beam.
Is that little boy our Leung Hong Yuen?
Is he listening music or watching the video?
Love to you all.
